Here at Turning Point Family Therapy, I offer compassionate counseling for all of life's events in the Denver metro area. My clients include individuals, couples, families, children and adolescents. For more information on therapy services please see my services page.

Choosing a mental health provider is one of the most important decisions you can make. You want someone who is caring, knowledgeable, accessible and willing to take time for you and treat you as a person, not just a client.

My mission as a therapist is to provide a compassionate, non-judgmental space where you feel free to express yourself. I respect the mind, body, and spirit to promote clients' vitality, passion and purpose. I honor the uniqueness of each individual while allowing the family to bloom.

I believe therapy should be a collaborative process between the client and me. I value working with clients' strengths as a way to help clients reach goals and make positive changes. I believe therapy is not meant to fix parts of us that are broken but to allow us to become the best version of ourselves.

I earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Art from the University of Texas at Arlington in 2005. I completed my Master of Science in Counseling Degree from the University of Phoenix. My degree specialization is in marriage, family and child therapy. I also have gained specialized training from Judi’s House, Denver, Colorado. I am currently gaining hours towards my license and a licensed therapist supervises me. I meet with them on a regular basis to ensure I am providing the best possible care for you and all of my clients. If you have any questions about this, please ask me.

My Passion

My passion and major speciality is working with people of all ages (2 to 120), and their families who have major medical illness or grief and loss. Major medical illness could be anything from an accident that's affecting your life to a devastating or terminal illness. I work with you and your family on how to improve health both physically and mentally and help with needed adjustments and changes to lifestyle. I work with both medical illness and grief and loss because it hits close to home for me. I have experienced many close deaths in my life, including accidents, natural causes and suicide. I have also experienced first hand how medical illness can affect your life with ill family members and my own history of illness.
